We all know what purpose 24/7 plays in a mega fight, to help hype up the fight. But does some of the hype some times spill over after the fight?
Take Manny Pacquiao as my main example,
Pre HBO 24/7:
Beats Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez
HBO 24/7:
Beats the Oscar De La Hoya of 12/6/08, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto
The hype that he gets now is nothing compared to the hype he had before his 24/7 fights.
The 2 worst versions of a fighter on Pac's resume are Morales and De La Hoya. Morales being the far better version.
Barrera, Morales, Marquez > De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto
I dont get it. So does a "mega fight" environment influence people's perception?
