One of Duran's parents( I think its his mother ) is mexican. That is according to some posts from the thousands of threads ive read in my 8 yrs in boxing forums

*Ive never read it from an actual article. Just from the Forums.

1:04 into the video, Duran mentions that his dad is Mexican

If some one wants to look at Duran as a Mexican, then they have the right to because no matter how you put it, Roberto Duran can say he is half Mexican and hes 100% correct.

Yeah, he's half Panamanian. Practices Panamian traditions, eats Panamanian food and he's a Panamanian citizen. He fights for Panama.

Just because he has some Mexican blood doesn't make him a Mexican fighter. Ask any full-blooded Mexican if Oscar DLH is a Mexican fighter.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be funny if Brian said he fights for the Philippines?
