Hating a fighter because of their fans is kind of odd. I hate on Mayweather to piss of his fans, so I'm guilty of something similar (I like him but not his personality) but I think the hardcore fans of certain fighters probably know a lot about those fighters and their careers.

He was never gonna fght SSM this fall, which is the point I'm makin man. Don't matter what the deal on the table was. He ain't need JMM to get to Pac. That fight was natural, and basically a given if Pac beat Cotto.

Worse case scenario is he truly needed a tuneup, and he faces a lower top 10 WW. But he hyped it up as a serious fight, cuz JMM challenged him and was #2 p4p. SSM challenged him, was #4 or 5 p4p, and was #1 in the WW division.

If you connected to the man, gr8. Support him chasin easy $. If you a fan who just watches the fights, you know he shoulda faced SSM, and the winner faces the Pac-Cotto winner for the UD WW title next.

And we on a tangent here. But no disrespect. You at least backed up your opinion wit reasoning, so it's all good. I still say he shoulda faced SSM instead of JMM.

but as fans, we also MUST take into account, the politics, and economics also...it's not that, i'm rooting for floyd to make 15million, as you're right, i'm not connected to him, so i don't get any of it.....

the difference between me, and many ppl on here, is that i understand money is money. if a guy offers another guy 8 million for a fight, then another guy offers him 15 million, I UNDERSTAND him choosing the 15 million. most ppl let their personal preferences get in the way of logic mangler. let me ask you, if you were floyd, in that same position, which fight would you have chosen???

now, if **** was the other way around, and shane offered him 15, while marquez offered him 8, then i'd agree, he ducked shane...

but reality is reality, and just b/c you consider yourself a true fan of the sport, doesn't give you right to change the facts.

But since the Hoya fight all the nut munchers have emerged and just ruined it, I now want Pacquiao to lose not because I hate him but because of his nut munching fans, they are driving me nuts. Biggest bunch of babies I have ever come across.

And how are *******s any different from the *****s and other die hard fans of their respective boxers. They're all the same, just different boxers. I'm a big fan of Cotto, didn't like some of the fans in here, but not all of Cotto fans are the same. Same goes with Manny's fans and Floyd's fans. Bottom line is, you'll always have those extreme fanatics that think they're idol is god and cannot be beaten.
