It was only after Manny couldn't remember the name of his next opponent after the Cotto fight that Larry Merchant asks him "who's next", that his own fans had to call out Floyd's name on his behalf and only after being forced to say "For the record, Yeah" when a Filipina reporter asks him if he really wanted Floyd, that negotiations started.
