Skillwise Pacquiao is still learning but he's good enough to be called prime. As far as toughness goes, Manny is past it already. His 122-126 days were when he was at his peak as far as toughness. If Pacquiao had this kind of skill back then, I think he would be much deadlier.

That was a ****** remark. Barrera not prime because he lost before??? how idiotic is that?

a Prime Ricky Hatton will always lose to Pacquiao and Floyd. because they are just better than him.

a prime fighter will lose to a fighter who is much better than him. So if he loses some of his primeness will be taken away?? lol

      That quote was ****** really.

        sorry for the dumb thread.
It may be subjective but its not hard to tell in 90% of cases. The other guy was right about MAB. Your eyes dont lie. Thats the #1 thing you have to remember. MAB was still fighting at a high level but he wasnt prime MAB when that fight happened. I dont think the Jones fights had much to do with it but he had alot of wars, 2 battles with EM, and then fought some big name cupcakes after that just to pad his resume. Thats still a pretty legit win for Pac though

Thats pretty much what you say about anyone in any sport. Everyone is more athletic when younger but wiser when older

Then an argument can be made that PAC wasn't even in his prime when he fought MAB. I believe that PAC didn't hit the pinnacle of his career until he fought ODLH. So PAC at a developing level was able to handle a high-level but still slightly below his prime MAB. Imagine the current state of PAC fighting the same 2003 version of MAB.

I think you need to read my 1st post because I already said that Pac is in his prime now. He's clearly better than he was against MAB. No one will dispute that. Thats why when I talk about him vs Floyd, I only look at the last JMM fight. I think he's much better than he was every fight before then, including the 1st JMM fight and the EM fight. Alot of people think that he's even alot better now than he was against JMM in the 2nd fight and that may be true but I say that you cant say that for sure since his opponents have been so different than JMM. I still think he has some of those flaws in him and that will hurt him against Floyd
