No one knows what Floyd's real weight was on that night but I think it was 152 just like he weighed in for the Oscar fight. Maybe 1 pound over or under. Manny Steward has been around boxing forever and he said during the fight that Floyd looks 152. Nacho has been around boxing forever and he said after the fight that he thought Floyd was 152. People have to remember a few things. 1 is that JMM was smaller, Floyd is dark skinned, and Floyd use to weigh 146 at WW. All of that is why he looked huge. If he was 146 1st and put on 6 or 7 pounds then he's going to look alot different even if its just those pounds.
Add to that the fact that his body has changed and it makes him look alot better. Case & point, Pac looks alot bigger & stronger now than he was at SFW but he basically weighs the same thing in the ring except maybe 2 or 3 more pounds against Cotto. People are crazy by saying Floyd was so big against JMM. I saw the post fight presser when Floyd & Mosley were standing side by side on ESPN news. NO one has that view but if you saw that then you would think that Shane was twice as big as Floyd. He looked way bigger & broader than Floyd standing side by side. There is no way he was as big as alot of you thinkComment

i just think if he weighed closer to 150 than 155 he would have shown his weight. its all speculation on my part, but he just looked big and bulky. lacy like.Comment

Yeah but I think people make too big of a deal about that. Floyd showed his weight his whole career and Oscar never did. Then the Oscar fight came and they told Floyd that he wasnt showing it so Floyd didnt either. Ever since that I think he just sticks with it no matter what. He was definatly the smaller man against Oscar and didnt show it and I bet if he went to MW right now he wouldnt show it even though he would be the smallest guy at MW. Also, if you watched the HBO broadcast they were saying something about Floyd was mad at them about stuff and I think things with Mosley so he didnt let HBO in to interview him or weight him. Basically even if he was going to get weighed, he didnt do it that night anyways because he didnt want to talk to HBO because they were beefin at the time. Thats when he called Steward an Uncle Tom and all of that was going on.
Also remember that Floyd is built different than most guys. He looks bigger lately but its all up top. He has the smallest looking legs in boxing and guys like Pac have tree trunks so that makes it look like he's bigger but its just placed differntlyComment
