Some people don't respect DLH and I'm wondering if DLH were to do something like this, would they respect him?
    Put it this way...

They would respect him if he does that and actually win. They'd say he's crazy for even trying and they would just scream We told you so you idiot till the end of his career.

This I couldn't agree with more. Mayweather has no business training anyone. Sure, he took Floyd to the top, but as much as I dislike Floyd, he is one of the most naturally gifted fighters ever.
De La Hoya, while possessing great physical skills, doesn't really have skills on the level of Floyd. He's a different style of fighter. Always has been, and he's been at it too long to try to change his game.

I know it sounds pretty ridiculous, but so did his move to middleweight and his calling out of Hopkins.
But he looked pretty good against Hopkins.

Even if he lost at Lt.Heavyweight, would you still respect him for having the balls to move up there and take on one of the main guys there?
That is the ******est question I have ever heard. Oscar looked out of place as a middleweight, why would he move up to Lt.heavy?

I already respect De La Hoya. I don't need all that other ****.

I respect Oscar as much as the next guy, But talk of him going to light heavy is ****ing ******. Name a quality fighter at middleweight he beat, legit. Oscar at 135 was amazing. Oscar at 170lbs is some ******s pipe dream.

Everyone said his move to middleweight was ****** and so was his calling out of Hopkins and fighting Hopkins.
Yet he did it and even had the media and others on his side during it.
So why rule out a stint in the Lt.Heavyweight division?
The guy is obviously trying to do whatever he can to gain respect or whatever the **** he's after.

I love how people hate on DLH. If he didnt look the way he did, everyone would call him a warrior, im not a very big fan of his, but that is what he is. He goes for the top guys time after time. In my opinion he has only lost twice. To Mosely the first time (he beat Mosely in the rematch i dont care what anyone says, ive seen it a dozen times) and obviously to Hopkins. I still cant believe the Trinidad fight. He won at least 9 rounds of that fight. Sorry for the rant, bottom line: you HAVE to respect Oscar, whether you like him or not.
