first tarver fight, was close. period. you need to review the fight
second fight, the punch was a lucky one,yes, but not the KO. funny how an all time great can be KTFOed with just a swing
johnson. he was the usual jones there, the speed, the combos and all, but minus the usual bravado. looked like the tarver punch did something real bad in him mentally

the 1st tarver fight was on espn classics the other day and i tevo'd it tarver wasnt really landing that many shots in the fight alot of it was pitty patty..roy was landing clean shots alot...and tarver was even taking rounds off(******ed)in the biggest fight of his career...i dont think the ko was funny it hurt me deeply..i find it funnier that years after the ko thats all tarver would talk about..johnson was on top of roy the whole fight and didnt let him breathe..he was landing good shots the whole time and the ko shot was bad..the way roys head bumped off the canvas was even worse..it was crazy how hard his head hit...i dont think the tarver shot did much to him..hes always been careful about getting hit.. but he did feel like it was a lucky shot

Well, Jones was susceptible to the left hand and Roach would get Pac to time it perfectly. The sparring at Wildcard would prepare him for it. Guys like Amir Khan, Porter and other real fast guys would help Pac to time that left hand and Roach would have a perfect game plan so that Pac would land that left hand over and over.

Jones would get busted up or he would get knocked down early and never recover. I agree.

Yeah man think about it, getting paid millions doing what you love(fighting in a dangerous sport) without getting hurt, that is every boxers dreams. I would trade my college life for either of those two millionaires life Pacquiao or Mayweather i don't give a *** man they both got money.

the first tarver fight was supposed to be a walk in the park for roy. and im surprised at how close it was. 7-5
about the round2 KO. well, thats funny because everybody was talking about jones being the greatest LHW and he got KOed by a nobody who was a B+ level fighter at best. and yeah, its even funnier that tarver is talking about it years after, well its the only thing beautiful in his resume afterall.
