Are you guys talking about the Margarito that punked Mayweather out. I think Pac would break him down and beat him.

Margarito cant deal with speed and movement, as long as pac goes for the UD, its possible.

Pacquiao would easily decision Margarito. I believe that Margarito's chin would hold up against Pacquiao but his face won't. I don't think Pacquiao would stand and front of Margarito enough to KO him like Mosley did. Mosley went right after him. Pacquiao will likely land a couple punches and slip to the side and do it again.

I could see Margarito busted up and walking into a straight left that he doesn't see which could hurt him and set up a stoppage but a straight Hatton type knockout wouldn't happen.

Margarito with no drain from Roach would walk through everything Pacquiao has and stop him on pressure. Pacquiao gets tired after 6 rounds, Margarito wouldn't let his foot off the gas until Pacquiao is broken down.

Also, Margarito's face won't take any damage. The damage you've seen from DLH and Cotto was from the weight loss. Freddie Roach said that when a fighters career is almost over, *and* when you drain them on top of it, it causes their skin to bruise easily. This is why feather fisted forbes busted up Oscars face worse than Trinidad, Mayweather, Hopkins, etc. It was due to the fact that Oscar came down from 154 (160lbs + ring weight) all the way to 150 for the forbes fight.

Pacquiao couldn't cause any damage to Barrera, JMM, or the other fighters because they were all healthy. Notice how Morales in the first fight didn't have any bruising, but when he couldn't make 130 anymore, Roach drained him back down and suddenly his face started swelling badly by the 8th round in the rematch. It was the weight loss that killed him, just like Oscar, and to a much lesser degree, Cotto. I'd have to say Cotto was ruined, he had everything stacked against him.

there will be times pac trades though.

plus i doubt he can slow marg down and marg is very good at cornering people.

just because pac can beat hatton and cotto doesn't mean he can handle someone of marg's size.

pac is too small for most welterweights let alone against a huge one.

he has to corner Pac at some point in the fight though, Margarito is a master at walking through punches, Cotto's hits barely seemed to affect him. It would be interesting for sure, pity it'll never happen.

Mosley was speaking of a prime and healthy Cotto. Not that drained ruined punching bag with no reflexes that Pacquiao faced. Margarito ruined him, and Clottey confirmed it. That's the only reason why the leftovers catchweight king, Pacquiao, even decided to fight him.
