        Honestly?

When he beat Erik Morales in the rematch, Erik was coming off a loss to Zaheer Raheem.
Yeah, Morales was shot because of the first Pacquiao fight.

When he fought Marco Barrera in the rematch, Marco was coming off a loss to JMM.

        This is a trend.
No version of Barrera beats Pacquiao. Forget it. WTF does it matter if Barrera had losses. We already saw what Pacquiao did to a younger Barrera. It erases anything that happened in the rematch, which was a wide UD to Pacquiao, and apparently Pacquiao was holding back because he respects Marco. Also, Barrera was obviously gonna fight more defensively against a guy that pulverized him the first time round. Hey, maybe if Hatton fought Pacquiao again he could make it to round 4! Or maybe if Cotto was careful enough he could fight for the last 2 minutes next time.

Some of you guys are more emotional than the females I mess with on a daily basis. My God!

            Nobody ****in hates Pacquiao.

The fact is he's fighting the #1 fighter in the world and as a BOXING FAN, I'm trying to explain to some of you dimwits that Pac has been built up to an unrealistic level.

JMM proved that he wasn't on Mayweather's level, but he's on Pac's level.

I guess saying that makes me a hater though. LOL! That's why I keep winning money off these fights.

He gets loads of credit for beating a Miguel Cotto that was severely beaten and forced to submit (in mma terms: he tapped out) by Antonio Margarito.

Shortly after that fight he was more competitive but nevertheless he caught a beating at the hands of Josh Clottey.

How much credit does Manny Pac really deserve for TKO'ing Miguel Cotto?

We all know De La Hoya was past him prime and weight drained. It was a shocking win for Manny, but again, how much credit does he really deserve?

Out of the three (hatton, dlh, cotto), Ricky Hatton was probably the least faded. And even in that scenario, Hatton was knocked out slightly over a year prior by Mayweather.

Pac is being built into this Ray Robinson-like demi God and I think it's unwarranted.

Mayweather may not be fighting the biggest KILLERS at welterweight, but his last three opponents weren't coming off knockout losses either.

JMM was coming off KO wins over Casamayor and Juan Diaz...
De La Hoya was coming off a career rejuvinating KO of Ricardo Mayorga...
Ricky Hatton was UNDEFEATED at the time he fought Floyd...

In all honesty, Mayweather has fought tougher and FRESHER competition.

I wouldn't go as far as saying pacs legacy has been built on ruined fighters but you do make some valid/true points (unlike most) about Pacs and Mayweathers last three opponents.

That said Pacs last three opponents might have been faded but look at the way he dealt with them AND...

Hatton was unbeaten at JWW and his KO loss to Mayweather wasnt exactly devastating plus he had two good fights after that including a KO victory to Malinaggi.

Everyones saying DLH was weight drained which is true BUT, if i remember correctly he was still a heavy favourite to win the fight AND if I remember DLH called Pac out.

Theres not much I can say about Cotto cos he aint the same after that loss to that cheating c*%& but he was still the number two WW.

We can dissect any boxers resume but you can only beat whos in front of ya!

              peace

There is some partial truth to this statement. Morales, Hatton, DLH were all over the hill. Cotto may be, but its difficult to tell.
This is how he gained notireity to casual fans, beating these past their prime fighters, but I think true boxing fans give him more credit for other victories.

So Manny should fight guys who are on winning strikes and guys who are undefeated?

Pac-Cotto- A lot of fans (especially cotto fans) were to agree that cotto didnt lose to Marg fair and square. My point is that Manny was the first guy who defeated cotto fair and square.

Pac-Hatton- Simple, Hatton isnt an elite fighter.

Pac-Delahoya- Pre fight. We all know many boxing fans, analyst, and experts were so sure that its a walk in the park for ODLH wasnt it? Just after the fight excuses were to be drafted.

Your completely basing your point on how many loses does Pac's opponent were before he fought them. By basing it how they losed or win.
