Both guys have certainly seen some barn burners but, if you had to pick your favorite, who would it be????

    Kenny Bayless is the man.

Off the top of my head I can't think of either being overzealous or unjustly docking points. Both are excellent refs.

But "Lets get it on">"What I say you must obey."

Mills Lane might just be the best referee ever so I'll choose him.

            Mercante Sr (sorry.)

But Mills liked the spotlight a bit too much later in his career (remember the Judge Mills Lane show?) so I would go with Bayless. I like Mills lane a lot though.

bayless is good but i get annoyed with his constant pacing back and forth in the ring.

he needs to stay in one spot and move when the action heads his way.

his ass is blocking the view half the time.

like with cotto-pacquiao. it wasn't too bad with the hbo coverage but watch the skysports version.

he was walking past the camera every 10 seconds it seemed like.

He's just a super hyper guy who gets extremely excited by boxing. I kind of understand him because when I work one of my kids corners I turn into a mad man during the round, yelling instructions and so forth. Once my guy gets back to the corner I have to put back on the stoic face though.

As for Lane vs. Bayless its close. Both are great. But the way Mills Lane handled the Tyson/Holyfield earbite puts him above.

That guy knew how to take charge, even against a potentially insane Mike Tyson at the time.

                    Lane ftw.

Plus he had a cool voice.
