Juan Manuel Marquez does not belong anywhere above 135LB

He's just too small. Want an example?

Compared to Juan Diaz, JMM was pretty small. Now, look at how small Diaz looked compared to Malignaggi. Malignaggi was looking DOWN for the most part of the fight. 140+ is just a whole other ball game.

JMM's best weight is 130, he can pull off 135. The extra weight severely affects his reflexes and hand speed which is VITAL to JMM's fighting style. Without hand speed, his counterpunching is off. His timing is off.

Could he beat Hatton? Most likely because Hatton's style is perfect for JMM. But could he beat Bradley? Could he beat Malignaggi? I don't think he can. These fighters utilize speed in the same manner that Mayweather does. Speed that at this weight, Marquez cannot compete with.

Juan Diaz is a fat 135 pounder. He should try and move down to 130.

its to PBF & manny pacquiao's credit that most will think their fave fighter will be able to do the weight scaling these 2 excellent fighters are doing... (at least nowadays...)

some can do 2 or 3 weight jumps, some simply cant...

u cant just wake up & decide to compete on 5, 6 or 7 weight divisions...

thing is, JMM IS my favorite fighter, but I'm a realist. I saw the signs of the affect the extra weight had on JMM at Lightweight. People believing he'll be able to compete above that division is quite interesting.

tbh i don't think jmm belongs at 135.

              he's small at 135.

koing diaz was just pure skill and heart from jmm.

bcoz even though he is a terrific counter-puncher, he is not that good in defense...unlike duran & toney...

& he doesnt have the physical gifts of MP either... to compete above 135...

                  preach on brother.

people think just because he koed casa and diaz that jmm looks good at 135.

i think he lost a lot at 135 compared to 130 tbh.
