Vitali Attempted As Many Punches In First 2 Rounds As Haye Did In 12

    I think it's pretty amazing.

Vitali attempted 142 punches in the first 2 rounds against Johnson.

Haye attempted 143 in 12 rounds against Valuev.

Vitali also threw over 100 punches in each of the final 3 rounds, a stark contrast to the 12 punches per round that Haye attempted.

What is truly amazing about all this though is the fact that Adam Booth came and and trashed Vitali's performance when in reality it was his own fighter who had recenty put on the most pathetic track meet in Heavyweight history.

Shoot, even Kevin Johnson, who had no desire to fight, still attempted more than twice the number of punches against a much more dangerous opponent than Haye faced.

Haye did what he had to do against a guy a lot bigger than he was. Haye showed he can change his style to get the job done..

How many punches would Vitali have attempted against a 7 foot 7" 400lb fighter?

because thats the same size difference as between Haye and Valuev

This is nothing to be proud of considering Johnson wasnt hurt the entire fight, and Valuev knocked silly off of one punch.

So basically you are saying it takes 142 Quitali punches to equal one great hayemaker.

        LOL

Vitali was fighting a guy smaller than him and Haye was fighting a giant. The size difference was comparable to Pacman going up against a cruiserweight.

Haye has repeatedly proven that he fights like a warrior when it's appropriate to. Trying that against Valuev was too risky.

I hope VK gives Haye a beatdown if/when they finally meet.

Haye is a very good Cruiser and average HW. VK is a great HW. That is where it is at.

At last 500, maybe not 1000, certainly more than 143.

Haye's workrate against Valuev was awful.

It was enough for him to get the win though.

I guess he does have a good excuse considering his hand was ****ed early in the fight also.

When was the last time Valuev knocked someone out?

What was Haye so afraid of? Chagaev wasnt any bigger than Haye and he threw way more punches than Haye and was not knocked out.
