the ring would probably want to revise this list involving pacman...

i remember back in spring 2006 there was this issue pitting manny against some of these alltime great featherweights seeing how he would fare against them, i dont know what i did with the issue, it was the one with taylor and wright on the cover with a vintage look, i couldnt find it, so if anyone could find it and post up the list, that would be great because at this point, the way we can judge pac is by how he is now as opposed to how he was even in 2006 since hes more improved. i know this thread wont intrest alot of people but looking at pac in a historical context is more interesting then what were discussing now, does anyone have that list of fighters? i remember the ring had him losing to majority on the list.

if i could see the list again, i could make a better judgment.

Noone really knows if Manny has improved as you say because the last time he faced a credible opponent Marquez he was found wanting.Everyone else he has faced after that was over the hill.

The thing is, Manny has improves vastly as he has moved up in weight, so we can only judge his featherweight feats on merit to what he did in that division. It wouldn't be fair to 'dream-pit' him against the featherweights of the past, based on his Lightweight and Welterweight achievements. If that's what your saying?

            I see.

If i'll match Pacquiao againts Featherweights all time. My list would look like this.

            1. Salvador Sanchez
            2. Wilie Pep
            3. Saddler
            4. Wilfredo Gomez
            5. Eusebio Pedroza
            6. Nazeem Hamed (not that he's at this level but the curiosity)
            7. Alexis Arguello
            8. Henry Armstrong ( This is the FIGHT )

BUT IMO 126-130 is not Manny's prime weight. Prime Pacquiao is between 135 to 147.

I would like to fast forward to 10 yrs or so, I wanna know how the new genarations of boxing fans will appreciate Manny's greatness. The only way to really grasp the magnitude of someones greatness is when they retire. People will look back and say damn I was part of that history. Not just pac, even PBF. They both equally great, this a rivalry the sports need. Their so opposite, you just have to pick a side. ala edward and jacob on twilight lol . Im thankful for the oppurtunity to see them in action in my lifetime.
