man , i saw the 1st ufc back in 93 (on vhs)

to see a 170 lb. man choke out a 230 lb. submission wrestler and a 220 lb. savate kickboxer was beautiful.

    royce gracie rules!

old school , no rules UFC > current , modern UFC

gerard gordeau was a french badass.

he permanently blinded a japanese judoka in vale tudo japan with illegal eye gouging.

I do wonder if royce got his respect immediately tho. i do think that the fighter he face is thinking that its a low move to choke somebody up, their whining wt**** is that, its not fair. does the early ufc have any rules though? because before MMA, i never think to choke somebody in one on one fight. i got my pride tho. but the reality is, thats real life for you.

If there was ever a chance that I could have liked MMA/UFC it would have been in 2000 becaue I hung out with dudes that loved that ****, and even then I could not come to like it, and thats back when there werent many rules and it was almost anything goes. Boxing is in my blood, my great grand father, grandfather and father were all pro boxers, and my mothers 3 brothers and father were also boxers, only her father and one brother made it pro though.

original ufc had no rules. it was totally brazilian "vale tudo" (portuguese for "anything goes")

only thing illegal was eye gouging , fishhooking and messing with digits.

            anything else was game.

it was cool seeing people of different disciplines fighting back then. nowadays everyone trains in everything.

back then a guy would come in claiming same 2,000th degree super red black belt in something and get their ass kicked like nothing. **** was hilarious.

who says you can't like mma if you like boxing?

              it's two different sports.

it's like saying you can't like basketball because football is in your blood.

i would imagine karate dojo's and other asian martial arts going out of business tho, people now know whats reallly works in actual combat.

Tua is choking in real life, is not attempted murder? you have serious case if its tho. you can really kill somebody with that *****.

Manute Bol versus William the Refrigerator Perry was my favorite fight outside of boxing.

I think it was tough man.

I also enjoyed celebrity boxing where Dustin Screech Diamond of saved by the bell beat the Brady bunch dude, Greg Williams.
I also liked that big fat guy in K1 Sapp was his name. It was funny when he got worked by small guys.
