Comments Thread For: David Haye's Trainer Blasts Vitali Klitshko's Performance

Adam Booth, who trains WBA heavyweight title holder David Haye, has told Sky Sports News that his man has the beating of Vitali Klitschko. Vitali defended his WBC title with a lacklustre points win over America’s Kevin Johnson - who flattered to deceive for much of the bout - in Switzerland last night. Booth, who, along with Haye, was in Berne on a watching brief, believes that his man can defeat the 6’ 7½’’ Ukrainian. [Click Here To Read More]

Hayes performance was not all that and a bag of chips against Valuev. Holyfield should be the real belt-holder of the current belt Haye holds anyways. Haye beat a paper-champion, that only held onto that belt because of his crooked promoter Don King. And the only reason Haye wasn't robbed is because Don King now gets money off of Haye like for 4 or 5 fights I believe since it was in the contract.

True. And Larry Donald beat Valuev more convincingly than Holyfield did. But if Haye can take Vitali's punches(a big if) he might give him some problems. Vitali appears to have skin that bruises and cuts easily. Even with the minimal jabs that Johnson landed he was able to cut and bruise both of Vitali's eyes. But I still give Vitali a big edge over Haye.

Boxers gets hit in fights not matter how good their defence. Haye is in a division with the biggest KO%, he has been stopped once by a CW, knocked down by a LHW, knocked down by another CW and he has not been hit at HW because he has fought a shot Barrett and a garbage Champion, Valuev.

This is the top and bottom of it.

It's easy for Haye and his trainer to make comments when they have a 3 fight contract with Don King. He's locked up fighting Ruiz, Valuev and Holyfield for the next 2 years.

You do realize Vitali throws over 1,000 punches, more then Haye and I'm pretty sure more then Wladimir too. It is not easy fighting a guy who refuses to give up and refuses to stop throwing.

Yeah Haye and Booth are big men and Vitali is 100% beatable and they were so sure of this they fought him!

Haye's HW performances haven't been great either. I think he has the skills to beat a Klitschko but I'm not sure about his mental toughness or his chin. Questionable stamina too. Haye needs to get rid of Ruiz and do what he needs to do to get Vitali or Wlad in the ring as his next opponent for a big fight where he'll get paid properly now that he's a beltholder. Too much talk, too much wait. Get it done.
