Klitschko may have slowed a bit, but he's still very awkward and hard to beat.

This sort of underrating used to happen to Lennox Lewis as well. I remember he took a lot of flak on a number of occasions.
Of course you're exactly right. Lewis did take a lot of criticism. But, in his case I think it was much motre deserved than with VK, who, after all has just had the 2nd fight in his whole career, where his opponent has not been KO'd. No ther champion, certainly not heavyweight, can even remotely approach this.

I recall at least 6 "stinkers" involving Lewis. And we can never forget Hopkins' thrilling display against Morade Hakkar.............

    And there were others!!

If that's the worst fight you've ever seen, you must not have seen Chris Byrd vs DaVarryl Williamson. Consider yourself lucky.

A bad performace against Johnson might not have been a negative thing, especially if it causes Haye to think that Vitali is washed up and gives him enough balls to step into the ring with him.

A lot of poster's are showing their ignorance in these threads. Saying what a terrible performance it was by Vitali in a fight where he dominated and won every round and it was against a guy who never once tried to fight. All Johnson did was lay on the ropes and talk ****. If a guy doesn't come to fight then it makes both guys look bad. Also, Johnson has a very good if not great chin. He showed it in the Vargas fight and he was never once hurt in this fight. You cannot blame Vitali one bit for dominating a guy who talked all that **** but fought like a big ***** and wouldn't exchange at all...

Just read another naive comment. Why on earth do so many people feel compelled to defend ****? No matter how hopelessly amateurish Vitali looks, its ALWAYS the other guy's fault. The dude does not know how to throw a punch; plain and ****ing simple. You guys are so desperate to have your ATG heavyweight, but it just isn't so.
