It's hilarious that Paulie is more hated on and trashed after he wins a big fight than before he won. I like Pacquiao but these fans of his are rediculous. Do you really take what he said about Manny personally? Does his opinion even count for anything when it comes to steroids? He's a fighter who likes to talk. The lot of you are crying about what Paulie said like Pacquiao is your father who got beat up in front of you or something. Get a grip girls.

Paulie won his fight, and he looked good doin it. That's all that I really care about when it comes to the actions of Malignaggi. What he says is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Its funny that people gives paulie prop for beating a feather fisted lightweight and then decides he wants to call out Marquez. Dude is scared to fight a true light welterweight. I hope marquez fight this ***** ass dude and put him to school. Because for a so called "skilled" fighter that he had a subpar 25% punch landed against a fighter who is stationary.

And I hate this guy, I used to root for him but after his allegations of Pacquiao cheating and using steroids just because he beat Cotto is sickening. I can't wait until someone beats the **** out of this kid, and it will be another fighter at 140.
Well, HBO offered him Juan Diaz, and when you're coming off a TKO loss to Ricky Hatton and the biggest network offers you a fight on it's airwaves, you don't refuse. You take what is given to you and you try to make the most of the opportunity, which is what Malignaggi did.

As far as him not wanting to fight top guys at 140, I think he's going to use this to springboard him into a big fight in that division. Who knows how he'll fare but he'll certainly make a few bucks along the way.

im hearing a lot of hate in that post.

Being an italian i almost felt obligated to watch paulie when i first heard of him...but the truth is even if i werent italian i'd love to watch him anyway...

i dont know how you can be a hater like that when he put on an overall good performance against diaz...outpointing and outhustling him...thats a statement if you ask me...i mean think about it...paulie the BOXER (who isnt known for his punch volume or power punches) outworks and outhustles/outlands diaz...the BRAWLER who is KNOWN as a good consistant high-output volume puncher...

how can you knock him when he beats his opponent with their own strengths?

At the end of the day, he can think ANYWAY he wants to. The sad thing is, you are all emotional about the situation. Calm down man. Its not that serious. No matter how "dumb" or silly you think his opinion is, he is still entitled to it.

Paulie is just trying to stay active and get as many fights as he can to pay his bills, that's all. And I think he'll consistently get fights at 140lbs because the division is so deep.

So you give props for paulie ducking the whole light welter weight division after he got completly destroyed by hatton, and then fight a feather fisted lightweight, and beat him with 25% landed punches and then calls out a fight against Marquez. Dude has never beaten a top 5 light-welter weight and got completly destroyed by two of them and then he goes down in weight to fight Juan diaz and he gets lots of praises for barely beating him twice. Its funny hatton had 0 props for destroying Paulie, but yet paulie get so much praise on having 2 good fights against a lightweight fighter who punch softer than he did.

He is clearly ducking the top 140 fighter after what hatton did to him. Why did he call out marquez out of all fighters.

The guy in your avatar is bigger than Malignaggi and he just fought Marquez. As far as connect percentages, statistics might mean something in basketball but they mean nearly nothing in boxing.

I don't know how Malignaggi ducked the whole light welterweight division when he mentioned the whole division by name after the fight. Going down in weight is not an advantage when you are going beneath your natural weight. Look at Oscar de la Hoya moving down to fight Pacquiao, that didn't do anything to give him an advantage.

How is Diaz a softer puncher than Malignaggi when Diaz has stoppage wins over world class opponents while Malignaggi hasn't stopped anyone since 2003?
