I only saw Klitschko-Johnson so far, so I can't comment in a fair way on the whole night, but that one fight was absolutely horrible. Johnson didn't even try, he showed up to talk, not to fight. And to think earlier that day I watched Williams-Martinez...
Uh, Klitschko-Johnson was by far the worst fight of yesterday. Total snoozefest and waste of time. Terrible fight, both fighters should be ashamed.
I would not categorize that as a snoozefest. Certainly it wasn't a classic, but I wouldn't say snoozefest. Fights like that, even though there's not a ton of exchanging, can be "interesting" (as Kellerman said). It was interesting to watch.
And why should Vitali be ashamed? The man threw over 1000 punches and tried his hardest to KO Johnson. Why is it his fault that Johnson didn't come to win?
As an American, I was very disappointed with Kevin Johnson. He showed he has skill, and was clearly the faster and better defensive fighter. But he wasn't aggressive enough to give himself even a slight chance to win. I'll admit I didn't think he would last the full 12, but part of him lasting I think was his refusal to press the issue. I was very impressed with Vitali.
