    What Was Kevin Johnson Thinking?

Kevin Johnson talked the talk in the build up to the Vitali fight but was extremely negative in the actual fight! Johnson never tried to beat Vitali and become WBC Champion, he was happy just to survive the 12 rounds and still be standing at the end! His defence was nice at times but never went forward once, always on the backfoot and never looked like mounting a serious challenge to Vitali.

After saying this Johnson even had the cheek to start taunting Vitali at the end of the 11th and during the 12th! Johnson did nothing in the opening 11 rounds to warrant taunting Vitali! I've seen some people bashing Vitali but honestly it woulds be near impossible to look good against Johnson, fighting the fight Johnson fought!!

you're right. no matter how good you are there are certain fighters that are such scared ******* you will never look good against them or knock them out if their SOLE reason for being in that ring is to survive and collect a paycheck.

He wasnt worried about winning. It was funny in the first four rnds and got annoying as the fight went on.

how someone can get a shot at a world title and not try to win it is baffling me. **** should never get another world title shot. And touching his chin in the 12th telling Vitali to hit it? How about u try and hit vitali's chin and win the fight ****o!!?

That was the first time someone ever made the Klitchsko brothers look classy (!) by comparison. You dropped the ball, Kingpin.

I agree completely! If your fighting for a World Heavyweight Title you think you would give it everything and take chances to win! Even if you come up short and get stopped at least you could say you gave it everything you had. Johnson survived but can't say he gave it everything and damn sure didn't take any chances!

What I found funny is he fought the perfect defensive fight and showed that if you got a good defense then V.K. is beatable....he just forgot to use some offense lol. After watching that fight I see why neither of the 2 brothers didn't want to fight James Toney years ago.

Yea but who at heavy can mimic that defense and than really put some offense behind it to back it up. I don't see it happening
