Bending below your opponents waist is against the rules. Within the last couple of months alone i'v witnessed this time and time again. I personally think Floyd may have influenced some fighters into using this stratagy to an extent within the last few years.
Harold Letterman has commented on this before in the Dirrell fight i believe. It is against the rules, why is this so hard to grasp?
These guys bend forward so they're at these guys thighs and when a punch lands behind their head they cry about it.
Now i am no way advocating rabbit shots but when the guy puts themsef in that position it's their own damn fault.
"Protect yourself at all times"
1) Refs need to start issuing warning when fighters start doing this. And must also be willing to deduct points if it continues because they're putting themselves at risk in addition to limiting the action in the fight.
2) If the ref isn't doing **** i personally am fine with their opponent throwing their hands and if it lands in a bad spot so be it.
Am i the only one who is bothered by this?
