SOOoooooo... MALIGNAGGI wants MARQUEZ at 140. How do you see that fight going?

Scenario A) Marquez walks though those powder-puff punches that Malignaggi is hurling and counters with some straight hard stuff that puts Paulie on the defensive, and has Malignaggi hanging on at least a couple of times.

Scenario B) Malignaggi uses the Mayweather template and stays on his toes and launches fast right hands and counter hooks into JuanMan's face. Marquez is bothered by this, and his footspeed isn't enough to actually put hands on Paulie.

Scenario C) Paulie leaves boxing and joins the cast of "Jersey Shore"

Scenario D) Describe how YOU think a Malignaggi-Marquez fight would play out.

Juan would eventually catch Paulie with something clean. Diaz caught him with good shots that if Marquez would catch him with, he would go down.

Marquez is a better counter puncher, smarter, stronger, and a better body puncher. I don't think Paulie could do the same thing that Floyd could do because Floyds size advantage was alot. Marquez would probably win in a late round KO or an easy UD.

Never underestimate the ability of Paulie (via LDB) to talk himself into a fight.

Based on his performances, PM should have been off the grid. But here he is with multiple HBO dates.

Lou is former HBO brass. GBP promotes JMM and has a bunch of empty HBO dates.

I think Hatton can find himself making a payday with an easier foe than Marquez. It's not like London is teeming with Mexicans.

Despite his general "estrogen-ic" appearance, Paulie is pretty tough. 23 rounds with Cotto and Hatton.

Paulie and Floyd are about the same size. Paulie was 149 tonight for a sub-140 catchweight. He's 5'8" + with a 70 in reach.

so, Marquez just lost to Mayweather .. and Hatton's kinda mayweather fixated so why wouldn't Ricky want to face the last man Floyd did?

and Paulie's gonna have to do more then talking if he wants to fight JMM, because he brings nothing to the table

London might not be huge on Mexican's

but JMM would get a much bigger payday if he were to face Hatton

JMM might not be easy for Hatton, but if Ricky wants to fight someone on the pound for pound list ... Marquez is his best bet.
