"Odlanier Solis Trashes Vitali Klitschko: Wants Him Now." Whaaahuh?? Either my reading comprehension has suddenly left me, or the title to this article is delusional. Where, exactly, do they quote Solis as saying anything? The only one quoted is Solis's promoter, Ahmet Öner.

Anyway...I'd love to see Solis put on a good show, but I seriously doubt he'll even come into the bout in fighting shape. Öner says about Solis, "He is hungry, aggressive and ready to show the world he is the best boxer in the world." Yeah, maybe a little too hungry. Put that cheeseburger down, Odlanier....

It's just a press release from Solis' promoters so they can basically attribute whatever statements they want. You're right in that it is sloppy writing.

Looks like Solis fights Austin now in an elimination fight, will be easy work for Solis and a good learning experience against a tall opponent, that will prepare him for Vitali well. Seriously, i think Vitali looked bad against Johnson, his prime seems to be over. So maybe guys like Solis and Haye have a chance now, but Solis needs to slim down.

I mean WTF, he potentially would have to fight Ray Austin again who he ****d with one hand. I mean, that's what you call clearing up a division. When a guy that you have destroyed has managed to work his way back to another title shot without seemingly doing anything, really.

On this theme, give credit David Haye. Deep down, even the Klitschko fans must want him to beat Ruiz.

I respect all these fighters as a fan, I just don't want to see them fight for heavyweight championship of the world. They are either old, modestly talented. And, these are all the guys that are perpetually on the fringes of title shots.

Haye, Tua, Povetkin, Solis, chambers. That's it. Nobody else should be getting a look-in.
