    P Will lovers/ Floyd haters...

Does his performance against Martinez hurt his chances of beating Floyd? I know that a lot of people that I've talked to said that Paul beats Floyd because he throws so many punches. I always thought that that was more of a weakness than a strength. What I mean by that, is Paul is terrible at keeping distance, his best tool at welterweight, and he leaves a lot of openings for counter punchers. Now, the idea behind Paul beating Floyd is that he throws a lot of punches, but in contrast, Floyd potshots. I know that for the early part of his career, Floyd threw combinations. I don't think that May just forgot how to throw combinations.

    Thoughts?

That’s Floyd’s problem he doesn’t through more combinations and relies more on defense work as suppose to an offense stand which turns a lot of fans off. By the way, though I’m no P. Williams fan I still have him over Floyd.

    Peace.

I can understand that argument. We all have to admit that in the last few years at WW Floyd has become a one punch at a time fighter. However, imo, that doesn't mean he can't throw combinations. He's just more comfortable potshotting. I think if the situation called for him to throw more than one punch, he would be, not only capable, but adept at it...

floyd would beat paul's ass---no fighter from 154 on down can beat floyd--paul would fight floyd at 147 and he would lose to floyd---end of discussion---

Your probably right but he doesn’t and hasn’t since Gatti and Corrales. In fact, he had NUMEROUS opportunities to do so against JMM to make an infinite statement with his comeback and he still didn’t engage with any intent. It would be hard to pull that off even with a borderline overrated P. Williams.

          Peace.

Punisher fan here, yes the Punisher beats floyd, heres why:
#1-Martinez is a bigger fighter than floyd is,plus he also has blazing speed!!
#2-Martinez is a southpaw, the Punisher has only had his problems from southpaws!!
#3-floyd doesn't punch much more than an average of 30 punches a round!!
#4 floyd has never fought anyone near to the amount of legit pressure that the Punisher will apply, plus it's coming from above!!
#5-floyd doesn't have the power to bother the Punisher,so basically he's gonna have to rely on fighting backwards throwing 30 punches a round, being within his much shorter reach to land effective counters, fighting at a pace he isn't used to for 12 rounds straight!!

I agree on the highlighted part. I will add that even at 154 floyd will still win.
