Thank you DoubleMM. Well said in every aspect.

I am not saying that Floyd deserves respect by just saying that he deserves it, I agree that he must prove it. I am only commenting on how Floyd said that HBO and other media outlets are feeding to the hype of Pacquiao like he is the annoited one which he is not by any means and I have to agree with him on that sole point of his because they obviously are playing him out like that. Come March 13th when Floyd handily beats Pacquiao, he will show he is one step closer to being P4P and then P4P when he takes out Mosley or Berto.

Exactly, the win on March 13th will put this BS hype and fighter of the decade persona to rest and shed light on this fairy tale and will give this tale a perfect ending.

First of all you can start by telling Floyd to sign the contract.

This should actually make Floyd all the more eager to beat Manny.

Manny has been awarded plaques, titles, and praised with accolades as a type of golden goose to be gunning for.

This places the burden on Manny to uphold the mystique and persona as the peoples' champ and to preserve his title as P4P king.

I think Floyd just sees that as another challenge he must conquer.

          Something new to strive for.

will this award include million dollars? No? then i don't think it's going to hurt him. money mayweather is all about cold cash. he's not bothered about legacy!

Jeezuss. Dude. NOBODY has signed a contract. They are negotiating terms before a final contract is draw up.

What is Floyd (or Manny) going to sign?! The contract is in 'draft' stage.

There are at least two new developments concerning the March 13 Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao megafight.

Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, will give his fighter a larger guaranteed purse than originally agreed upon, and Arum has been contacted by the Atlanta Falcons' Georgia Dome regarding the potential for being a site for the bout.

The Filipino icon's adviser, Michael Koncz, told FanHouse on Monday that Arum has sweetened the deal for Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 knockouts), who earned his unprecedented seventh world title in as many weight classes with his 12th-round, technical knockout victory over then-WBO welterweight (147 pounds) champ Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14.

"Arum presented a package to us, and we did some minor modifications to it. One of the points that we brought up was the guaranteed purse," said Koncz, referring to their interaction during a two-hour meeting involving Pacquiao, Arum and himself, late last week.

"Bob came to us with an offer, we countered it, and we got what we requested," said Koncz. "That [purse] was the major one, and there were some minor issues -- not so much revolving around money, but with other aspects of the fight."

Although there are reports that the combatants agreed to a 50-50 split, and that Pacquiao, at least, was originally guaranteed $20 million -- plus their shares of any upside to the pay per view revenue -- Koncz said that a gag order is in place for both sides and that, under the circumstances, it would be inappropriate to address any numbers.

There are also reports that Mayweather has been guaranteed at least $20 million, that his name will lead the promotion as "Mayweather-Pacquiao," and that the revenue could push each side's earnings toward the $45 million mark.

"The only ones who know the figures are Manny, myself, Bob Arum, [Golden Boy Promotions'] Richad Schaefer and Floyd Mayweather. So there are other figures floating around out there that may or not be accurate," said Koncz, referring to Schaefer, who is representing Mayweather's side.

"In relation to any figures, I will not substantiate them," said Koncz. "There are gag orders in place, and I don't think that it's appropriate that any deals or negotiations should be negotiated in the press."

During Pacquiao's Q&A with FanHouse last week, Koncz said that Pacquiao has not yet signed a contract, but that the fighter had agreed to the terms of a clash with Mayweather on March 13, with each fighter being able to choose his own brand of eight-ounce gloves, and at the welterweight (147-pound) category rather than at catchweight.

#1 P4P FOR MOST OF THE DECADE AND BE UNDEFEATED BUT NOT BE THE FIGHTER OF THE DECADE. QURSTIONS MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO ANSWER.

Mayweather makes business decisionsand that has hurt his rep, but the guys that he either was supposed to fight or were champions either lost or he beat. everyone wants him to lose. Hatred is a fair assessment when talking about this guy. Although he hasn't did everything the fans wanted he is a great fighter. You can say he should've fought Cotto and Margarito but who else did he either not challenge like Mosley. This is just being real.

PAC on the other hand is a good fighter on the brink of greatness. He got a complete passs from HBO commentators when he came up to the 140 division and didnt fight the top guys. When Mayweather tried the same stunt he was called out and asked over and over why not clean out the divion by Merchant. Not once did anyone ask PAC why dodnt you fight Bradley, Petersen, Marquez again, Holt, Campbell and the other of recent domination. If PAC is really to small and has to fight at catch weights then he should fight at 140. PAC for some reason wants no part of Marquez in a rematch that he clearly has never won. I thank his statement was This business is over. If that was Floyd he would've been crucified by the fans. Truthfully Marquez won both of those fights. If PAC can somehow beat FLOYD then he is instantly an ATG. No matter what happens this will be one of the most impressive three years outside of the Marquez fight that I've seen in a while.

Decade is ten long years and to be fair th fighter of the decade is FLOYD Mayweather. No matter if you like him or not. For fifteen years he been world champion and P4P listed. Where was PAC when this was being done. Was it being dismantled by Eric Morrales or being scholled by JMM. Dont forget that was this decade. I want discuss the other ko's. Be fair and hide your prejudice ways and call a spade a spade. FLOYD fighter of the Decade.
