I'm not totally convinced about Pac being the fighter of the decade. I feel he's obviously great but Mayweather has been P4P for a decade and his run at 130 was totally awesome. He was an animal back then. I really can't decide between them although the Cotto victory certainly helps Pac's case.

and who does he beat at that weight class?? are they HOF caliber??..do u think he deserves it after ducking all the best WW in his time and making a featherweight and junior welterweight overbloats them to his advantage?? agreeing on catchweight 144 then failed the scale on fight night without trying to squeeze himself even 1 pound less?? .....too far dude...i dont hate mayweather or something but he has all the oppurtunity to be like Manny now or more if only he has guts like a true warrior to fight all in front of him like Pac or Cotto.....FOTD doesnt rely on skills alone but wat has he done lately that defy the odds....i think if he beats Pac its already too late for him to become what he wants to remembered..just my 2 cents

Money hasn't been P4P for a decade. Jones and Hopkins ruled the first four years of the decade; Manny has been neck and neck with him over the last four. Floyd veritably taking three years off (03-05) and then another year and a half retired hurt his cause. Add in two already and a lock for a third Fighter of the Year for Manny this year to Floyd's one and it's really a cinch.

Doesn't mean Manny beats Floyd...that's next year's question.

Pac deserves it. I'd give Hopkins the reward before I gave it to Floyd, but all of his big wins have come against smaller fighters. If he made up his mind to do something like beat Dawson, Bute, and Adamek in a short time frame I would be inclined to rank him over Pacquiao.
