Vitali also throws far more combinations than Wlad does. Wlad mostly just throws the jab-right-cross one-two. Vitali is far more unpredictable and hard to read.
While Wlad is the "more predictable" fighter i don`t remember him losing couple of rounds in his last fights or even taking 10 power shots from his last two opponents

Vitali is easier-to-get-angry while Wlad is always cautios and calm.

I disagree with you on one more thing - i think Wlad is better in comanding and moving across the ring.

Vitali deserves all the credit in the world for what he had done during the last year+... Take to consideration he is 38, and if he wins tonight he should be among the two major candidates for the FOTY reward...

But still! Is he the better boxer of the two? - I think, no. Is his resume better of the two? - I think, no.

Many people say, that Vitali`s increible chin is the thing (the only advantage over his brother) which makes him better fighter than Wlad... Well, that`s one ignorant thing to say... Wlad dominates his opponents, already took 55 fights, had made 7 title defences (in his second run as a champ)... Damn, remember what ****m Richardson told about it? "Do you imagine how good you have to be to do all that with a glass chin?"

P.S. Two of the three knock downs in Peter fight weren`t legitimate. And the Peter who fought Wlad had more character and determination (after that fight he was once owned by Toney and McCline) than the Peter who fought Vitali (no aim to discredit Vitali`s victory over Sam - what he did at 37 was amazing)...

To sum up - Vitali deserves more credit than Wlad this year, but he isn`t the best HW of the Klitschkos, imo!
I have studied that Peter fight extensively, and have come to the conclusion that even the
3rd KKD was not really a punch.

It seems to me, that Klitschko pulled back his head and body so quickly,, and to such an angle, that his shoulders actually were as low as the top rope, which should have been about mid cheast at most.

I believe that the video shows that IF he was hit [a pro or con argument] it was only, at best, a slight graze, and he bounced forward off the ropes to the canvas. You'll note that he got up immediately, and for the rest of the round, continued to beat Peter unmercifully.

And in other parts of the fight, you'll notice that he took several heavy right hands from Peter, with NO noticeable effect.

In other words he actually has a GOOD chin, !!

There's absolutely no doubt that Wladimir has the more impressive resume. He may fight Chambers and Povetkin in 2010. Those fight trump everything on Vitali's record.

Vitali's clearly #2 at this point. The only way Vitali could jump his brother is if he knocked out Haye and Valuev in succession.

That's also true of Vitali. And I think Arreola is better than Chagaev. And IMO being less predictable would matter, if they fought a really world class fighter.

          He's much too cautious.

Vitali moves less but judges distance so well that that isn't a problem for him. He is always just out of range.

They both have different strengths and weaknesses. I don't know who would win now, because I suspect Vitali is slowing down, but IMO a prime Vitali would beat a prime Wlad.

No one is dis*****g that. The debate is only about who would win if they fought each other.

Vitali is better than Wlad IMO but gets less credit because he's so unconventional. Wlad also gets a bum rap for having a "glass jaw" which is utter nonsense. Wlad has a good chin but used to have such poor defense that he left himself wide open to be countered. Before Manny remade Wlad into the dominant cautious fighter that he is today Wlad used to be as offense minded as Tommy Morrison (who also had a much better chin than he gets credit for) who also left himself open to be countered. No matter how good your chin is you will get dropped as big as these HW's are today if you don't pay attention to defense.

Vitali versus Wlad would be such a close fight that it's hard to predict a winner but I'd favor Vitali.

I'm glad to see that someone acknowledges two of my biggest boxing gripes.

They are that I firmly believe that Joe Frazier, as brave as he is, was not good enough to be in the top m15 or 20 heavyweights.

And....... the biggest hoax, Rocky Marciano was probably the worst heavyweight Champion of all time.
Hello my old friend and I see you are still kicking around Marciano. And I will say, although it was enjoyable, I really have no desire to reopen that debate we had on Marciano. But, come on are you really going to say that fighters such as Primo Carnera and Leon Spinks and the likes of Tim Witherspoon and Tony Tubbs were better fighters then Rocky? I just have one question to ask you. Are you by chance from Brockton and did Rocky possibly bully you around as a kid?
