Why does Pacquiao need Buboy to interpret?

He speaks English and seems to understand it. Why does he need Buboy to interpret for him in the corner?

When he's in the heat of the action, since he speaks tagalog much better it's probably a little easier on the brain hearing it in his native language as well.

They're good friends. And Pacquiao would need to catch a breather?

he understands it..but in the ring its differant..after getting hit up side your head it takes longer to comprehend things and you only get 1 minute in between rounds

LIke some have said--it's automatic comprehension. Pacquiao doesn't have the luxury in a fight to take the time to process what Roach is saying in English. His native tongue would be much faster to understand.

Pacquiao understands English and speaks English perfectly well, but Tagalog is still his first language and it's easier for Roach to get his point across in a minute by having Buboy translate.

pac taught buboy everything about boxing. pac is listening to roach in the corner. buboy is there for morale support.
