Big things going on all over the sport of boxing, exactly what I love to see....Ive been a busy busy man...
Not gonna go through everything but lets start with something near and dear to my heart...
happened to Roy Roy....I mean **** I knew he was over the hill but to be stopped in a fashion like that by a @ best a fighter who couldnt fill Vegas Circus Circus hotel with more then 75 ppl. (all of whom would be drunk and would be quite confused as to who Mr.Green really was..Confusing him with the great Mr. Pink from REsevoir dogs). Now u Aussies dont get on my case lets be honest 80,000 ppl fill your arena to see him....Christ u guys need to make cloning possible to fill your boxing stable with a little better talent pool. That being said Jones please retire now. Hopkins money may be good hell I'd buy, but boxing with thrive without 40 something yr olds who r shells of there former selves fighting each other.
Hopkins looked mediocre @ best again Orneleas..A fighter who fights legit competion @ 160....But not @ 175 tuneup yes but not the likes of one that would have gotten him ready for anyone unless it was RJJR. Again retire ur wins over Trinidad and DLH and ur complete dominance and destruction of ur Middleweight Kingdom in the mid to late 90'S and early 2000's prove that u r in the top 50 best fighters of all time.
Pacquiao I have always looked forr a reason to hate..To dillude to the fact that u r by far in a league all to your own, and guess what no longer can I say a ****ING word. U have shot me up time and time again ( even taking 550 dollars off me with ur 12 round ass beating of Miguel Cotto), Who will never be the same fighter ever since Margo beatdown whether or not he cheated probably yes....Miguel will never fade from the dark clouds hovering over him from the Margarito fight.
Manny has dissected some of the greatest boxing minds. Member when DLH was one of the smartest men inside the ropes, not the douche handing Trinidad the last 4 rounds of there fight, but the one who ate JCC Sr. for dinner with vicious body work, finally setting stage for highlight reel handspeed and furious combinations of blitzing attacks with left and rights? Juan Manuel Marquez no matter how close there fights were, Manny gets the nod with a 1-0-1 record in there 2. Marquez uses ring smarts and counter punching to set up some of the greatest performances in history. His KO of Juan Diaz was the absolute perfect punch that was set up round after round until he saw fit in using and dropping the hammer.
But now Manny is stepping up to undoubtbly the smartest fighter of our generation. Flloyd is uncanny, uses shoulder rolls tos stave off attacks that even BHop and James Toney would have killed to have. A newer more improved version of a Philly Shell, all the while lookin for offense all the awhile styfulling opponents offense. Flloyd will be ready, but for me do I even dare to bet again Mann Pacquioa again..
**** I could pay a small student loan with the money this guy has taken from me over the past 4 fights......
This is a history making fight. Again BOXING needs to be put @ the forfront, forget the fighters for one night, we NEED this fight to justify all the naysayers to stick it to them who say boxing is dead.
As far as Im concerned Boxing is the brightest star in the sky.....And the once faded image of one of the longest tenured and greatest sports in the history of this time of ours, is slowly turning over the leaf from dissmal and tainted to praised and triumphant...
Now all we need is Arum and King to develope flesh eating diseases we would be fine.
