Texas is on, then off, now back on. Staples makes an offer, then its turned down. MGM is still in the running. Isn't it very possible that these are all part of the two promoters' marketing ploy to force them to up their offers? This could possibly be the fight of the decade, and will bring in record revenues, both directly and indirectly. With the economy still weak, every dollar counts for Las Vegas, Dallas, etc. Thus, they will do whatever it takes to bring the fight into their locality. And this is what Top Rank and Golden Boy is taking advantage of.
So all these so called last minute cancellation of Schaeffer's trip to Dallas, the sudden appearance of the Staples Center offer, and the quick reaction by Jones to get back into the hunt seems too coincidental. It has to be part of a master plan.
My 2 cents.
