will cotto be a champion again?

depend of how many fights he will fight ahead. if he fight only two fights, no he will not be a champion again. i sure he will fight somebody already beaten, then another fight, the question is with who? another question is, why then to fight two fights and retire? what is the use, somewhere in the mind of cotto is a shot at a new title fight by 2011. the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight will turn the tables around. and cotto will sneak in again to a mega fight.

I don't see why not. He could fight the winner of Berto/Mosley, take Hlatshwayo's IBF belt, or possibly even go up to 154 to Foreman's or Spink's belt if he really wanted to.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Foreman v Cotto came off at 154.

          yes!

he just needs to take a year off, rest but not do a ricky hatton and live on fish and chips and beer and then get himself a real trainer!

Boxing needs more warrior/boxers like him!

I hope so, boxing needs a warrior like Cotto. And who knows, if and when Manny beats Floyd, Cotto might have a chance to fight Gayweather.
