Why didnt Cotto keep BODY PUNCHING..........

Im not talking about the Pac fight..I mean his style in general.

It's possibly due to the Margarito fight, he couldn't get to Margaritos body and couldn't break him down with head punches so he might have worked on more effective head punching.

But his style just doesn't work against volume punchers, he is still one of the best body punchers in the business. Clotteys slow down in the late rounds were proberbly due to some of Cottos bodywork and i'm sure he dropped Jennings (yes i know hes a fringe contender) with a bodyshot.

Because of Pacquiaos movement, he couldn't hit him to the body. He hit Clottey and Jennings to the body often though.

Exactly man, and many didn't notice, but PAC was countering the **** out of him.

Going to the body usually goes out the window when faced with an excellent counter-puncher, on 11/14, PAC fed him nothin' but counters.

Body punchers do great VS B to C level fighters.

Against top guys, you just can't get through

IMO, that's been his downfall. It was ridiculous how he got away from it in the Marg fight

imo like trinidad late in his career cotto became a predictable fighter. trinidad became left hook crazy and cotto does the jab,jab left hook now. this was the habits roach was most likely talkin bout in 24/7, and no1 was there to correct him or say anything really. if cotto is real about keeping santiago then he shouldnt fight no more and if he does he deserves whatever damage he takes in the ring.
