Maidana is too slow for Khan, he throws wide shots and got dropped 3 times by Victor Ortiz, who by the way has about the same KO% as Khan (70% KO record). Amir Khan is faster, far more accurate, smarter and overall better than Ortiz. The only way this fight goes Maidana's way is if he lands something big early on catching Amir cold.Comment

Maidana throws wide, looping shots, but there's still a chance that one of those shots could wrap around his high guard and do damage.
He was dropped three times by Ortiz, but I don't think he was seriously hurt; if anything, I thought Ortiz got dropped harder.
Technically and skills wise, Khan has the advantage over Maidana, but that alone doesn't win fights. Having said that, I'd favor Khan slightly, but it's a fight that I wouldn't be confident about were I a Khan supporter.Comment

I'm not really a Khan supporter, but he gets unbelievable amounts of hate just because of his KO loss and i think it's wrong. It's obviously made him a better fighter and he is young with a lot of promise. He is great for boxing i can't see how you wouldn't want to welcome into the sport.
Freddie Roach is too good of a trainer to let Khan go in with Maidana with his chin out all over the place, they would have a game plan and stick to it.Comment

I'm not a Khan hater, I just don't think he should be looking for fights with likes of Marquez and Hatton when there's a number of quality young fighters in the division to take one. That's the only thing that I don't really agree with. I'd be cool with it if he fought say, Alexander or the Bradley-Peterson winner instead of Maidana though.I'm not really a Khan supporter, but he gets unbelievable amounts of hate just because of his KO loss and i think it's wrong. That's true, but you never know what may happen during a bout. For all we know, if Khan starts getting cornered, worn down, etc. he may revert back to his ways and get decked.Comment

I like Khan by decision. But, Khan would have to fight the perfect fight and not have no mental lapses on defense. If Maidan lands on the chin it might be a short night. But, I think Khan would have the perfect game plan and not fight Maidana fight like Ortiz did. And, just play keep away and win by decision.Comment
