This kid has so much talent and he looks determined now. Maybe he doesnt have a Fernando Vargas heart, but he will still beat Khan and anyone else at 140!! Hater?

I remember a story, I tried to find it but could not, of a British General and a Native American friend he had. The Native American was about to enter his first battle and was so afraid he ran. He was so ashamed that he vowed never to run from battle again. He did not. He so proved himself with valor that he was, I believe, commissioned by the British General. There is more to the story but the highlight is of faltering and redemption.

I believe that Ortiz can redeem himself in the view of much of the public. Some people are inflexible and unforgiving, but I would certainly forget any floundering in the early part of his career if he forged ahead and did great things. I hope he can muster what is necessary to do so.

Khan stopped him in the amateurs but let's face it. If Ortiz even lands one shot in the pros its night night.
