    JUDGING - an Idea

We know there are some terrible judges and everyone has personal bias

What about adding 2 more judges to make 5. They all score the fight but the highest and lowest scores if you like are discarded and only the 3 middle scores are counted. That eliminates biased judges. Figureskating and other sports with judging do this.

so for example, let's say there is a fight and boxer A clearly beats boxer B but it's not a total ass kicking and let's say the scores are (boxer A first)

    117-113
    116-113
114-115 (this judge has a ridiculous bias towards boxer B and somehow made him the winner)
120-108 (this judge had a bit too much bias towards boxer A)
    117-113

The two 'bad' scores are rejected leaving 3 sensible scores.

really,i think it can be fixed easier than that.judges should have to watch the fights on monitors or tvs.ringside is just not a good view.i hate watchin live fights cause depending on the angle an ref position, you can miss alot of action

It's actually not a bad idea. The only problem is that it's hard enough to find 3 competant judges, imagine trying to get 5 for every fight.

You know what's a really accurate scoring is the Versus fan poll.

It was a little off for the most recent Hopkins fight, but most times the fans get it right. It's unbelievable that a group of fans and viewers can score better than an actual judge.

then in the case of a really close fight the loser could claim that the results were cherry picked?!!
