    LOL
Not all British people are racist,Khan's trying to pull some cotton wool over our eyes.We cant stand it,we want to see him taking proper fights not just claiming he's the best. This is like Audley Harrison,he did win the gold but started fighting taxi drivers, people didnt like that.If you call yourself the best then fight the best.
In Britain we have had different boxers, did people hate Naseem because he was Arabic or a Moslem?

That is an interesting point you make about Naz. We live in different times now post 9/11 and 7/7, and if you look back,in many ways the way Naz projected his faith could be deemed as provocative even back then, but now he would be absolutely slaughtered for it.

I think Khan has actually done himself a lot of credit for staying out of the rights and wrongs of the war, religion etc. He is hardly a unifying figure yet,and probably wont become that, but he has never used his faith/nationality to push the agendas of others, when there has surely been pressure put on him to do so by people in his community on the one hand, and his promoters and press on the other.

He is just a boxer, and a bloody good one at that, and deserves props for turning his career around and making the necessary sacrifices after suffering an extremely embarrasing defeat. I very much doubt that Victor Ortiz or Jorge Linares have to put up with the same level of ill thought out criticism, despite being just as spectacularly denuded.

just making the point you can be born in 1 country, but your nationality can be different. E.g - khan claims hes british, when really hes pakistani with british descent. Does ther name amir khan sound like a british name!
