TS, people are afraid of change. People are especially afraid in a sport that is considered very macho. There's still alot of close minded people in this country. There's people that hate the fact we have a black president. Mayweather represents change and a new face that many boxing fans are very apprehensive to embrace. These people are insecure and ignorant. I think it's great we have a fighter representing the gay community. Way to go Floyd! You go girl!

Why do people hate floyd mayweather jr so much?? And what makes him unwanted in boxing!? No holds barred!!

He evinces an arrogance that most find distasteful. For a long time I hated him too until I saw another side. I am not sure what to make of the bar fight where he apparently assaulted two people (possibly women, I do not know), but I like how he gives props to vanquished foes. He seems to be a good winner and very personable in interviews.

He can be an ass too. I did not like that he did not bother to make weight for Marquez, but before that he seemed to be something of a professional.

He plays head games with people similar to what roach does. The difference is that roach does it when it's not really his place, imo. Floyd does it to promote a fight.

I do not really think he hates on the other fighters, he just angles for more publicity that way. Some actors love playing villains in films, Mayweather evidently plays the villain in boxing.

There are many aspects to it...

I think mostly it is because he generally touches on things that normal human beings can't reach. He makes millions and is happy with himself and the way he was created... which bothers ppl who have to work hard for their money and can't understand how such a guy makes millions with ''boring'' fights.

You also have to see that most on these boards are entertainment fans... they dislike him... boxing fans love him... and guys who are looking for role models hate him...

The best always had their haters... it's a normal thing... hate comes from envy... it's in every human being... some ppl learn to overcome it and others can't help themselves...

Don't worry about it... just stay open minded about the topic and don't let yourself get fooled... study his history and you will find out what he is.
