i brought this up cause some putz in another thread said...."Oscar just stopped throwing the jab".....

as a matter of fact plenty of people believe that.....IDK why
That's cause many people neglect to review fights to confirm the allegations.

Young Oscar, Prime Oscar, or Old Oscar.....neither beats Mayweather.....

this is Freddie Roach before the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight....

Roach was stunned by how little De La Hoya knew about the science of boxing.

"We would be talking and there were things that he just didn't know," Roach said. "At first I thought he was joking around, but it didn't take long to find out that he wasn't kidding. He has natural ability and he's gotten by on that natural ability."

I am sorry champ but a guy with the boxing IQ of a peanut could never beat Mayweather....boxing isnt about size and strength...I thought you knew that?

        Mayweather-Pacquiao

almost a good theory...but not quite
how the hell did mayweather-delahoya pave the way to pacquiao-delahoya?

margarito-cotto and hatton-malignaggi paved the way for pacquiao-delahoya.

oscar would have fought cotto but margarito won.

his next choice was hatton but hatton wanted to fight malignaggi first.

that's how pacquiao got the fight.

oscar was fighting at 150 at the time. he wasn't looking for a 130-135 fighter.

when cotto lost and hatton wanted another fight , that's when oscar cherrypicked on pacquiao.

Again it was against this version of De la Hoya.
Just because it was a SD doesn't mean it was close.

Diaz - Katsidis was a SD and was totally one sided in Diaz's favor.

Bradley - Witter was the same.

Mayweather won clearly, 8 rounds to 4.

It seems like whenever a fighter loses a 116-112 UD thats not a blowout people always say "he would have won if he kept throwing his jab."

As a Floyd fan I could tell you that nobody who likes Floyd expects a war. We expect a technically sound, by the book, domination.
Airplanes don't fly under bridges and cars don't rip through clouds.
Floyd's punching power and chin never won him any belt or acclaim. The crazy thing about Floyd is that he uses pure skill to out box heavier punchers
                    for long periods of time.

Take the punch away from the majority of the top 20 fighters in the world and your current favorites may make top 50 last year if your lucky.

If Floyd went toe to toe with Oscar he'd get ktfo...everybody knows that.
You must of never watched the interviews with Floyd before the fight. Floyd acted like he was going to kill Oscar, yet it was a SD? Damn, I obviously hit a soft spot with you? truth hurts... PEOPLE WERE WALKING OUT OF THAT FIGHT. Floyd made that fight into a joke. I don't care what anyone else says, he did some major running...
