Floyd neutralized his jab with the right hand counter. It's plain clear if you watch the fight carefully. At other times oscar was simply reluctant to throw the jab for fear of being countered.

OFFICIALLY ENDING the "Myth" that Oscar *stopped* throwing the jab vs PBF

What the **** does it matter?
Really? What's the point?
Whether he stop throwing it or Floyd took it away. It doesn't change the fact that Oscar was old and done as a fighter. And, only won 3 maybe 4 rounds if you're generous. All this crap is irrelevant.
Fact is Oscar wasn't good enough to **** Floyd. Not that version nor a prime version of Oscar. And, Oscar wouldn't be able to **** with Pac either.
All this myth crap is ridiculous. This is no legendary nights Leonard ducking Pryor or P4P being created for Sugar Ray Robinson, or Winky Wright being truly avoided situation. There is no myth because this crap doesn't matter it's all irrelevant.

You just brought out numbers but that is all they are .... numbers.
How is this. If you believe in numbers then you must conclude that Castillo beat Floyd handily, right?
Like you said, numbers don't lie .... just look at the power punches landed ... clear win for Castillo, hey?

This is highly irrelevant. Why you ask? Because even when he was (supposedly) throwing the jab he was still being beaten. He won three rounds. In all three of those rds he won Floyd was being ultra defensive (even for him).
Tommy Kaczmarek should have never been allowed to judge a fight again after delivering a scorecard of 7-5 in favour of Oscar.

My point was that you can't just go by Compubox stats. Those stats do not measure the intensity of a punch.
Oscar could have thrown 1,000 jabs but that doesn't let you know if he had anything on those punches in the 2nd half of that fight. Oscar used a majority of his jabs differently in that 2nd half of the fight.
Whatever Cash Cows point was, he was only using CombuBox stats .... but as stated, intensity is NOT measured .... plus CombuBox has been shown not to always be accurate!
Oscar, as Roach pointed out, couldn't pull the trigger anymore by the time he faced Floyd. So basically, Oscar could only work with the tools that he had (left) that night.

There is no myth because this crap doesn't matter it's all irrelevant.naw it is a myth because it has been reiterated over and over by fans, posters on every boxing site, writers, experts, announcers fighters and even Oscar himself.....and the myth was that OSCAR STOPPED THROWING THE JAB which is why he didnt win.....
I just gave you #'s....why all of these writers, experts, announcers fighters and even Oscar himself didnt take the time to research the FACTS are beyond me....you cant say "he stopped throwing the jab" when he threw more from 7-12 than he did in 1-6....
Men lie, women lie, #'s dont....
