Well, he might not have been completely shot but he was still a shell of his former self even then. He had lost his speed and movement as well as his stamina. He just wasn't the same fighter anymore and it's not that big a deal he just knocked out Mayorga. Mayorga got knocked out before he fought Oscar and after.

Oscar was better than he was against Pac, a lot better in fact, but he was still old, a part time fighter, and had still lost two of his last four fights and been knocked out for the first time too in one of those. It was a good win but not that good.

Yeah, Hatton walked through those right hands all right. He walked right through them and into a ring post, and then walked horizontally onto the canvas and decided to have a lickle nap for the first time in his unbeaten career.

Maybe it sounds out of the blue but some people try to repeat a lie too many times and the new people into these boards would think PBF is a protected european fighter who's been fed old bums his whole career and has a boring ass style. None of that is true or close to being true. Even the infamous Baldomir fight WAS NOT BORING by any means.

Mayorga was the lineal 154 champion when Oscar faced him. Oscar was coming off a 2 year layoff.

As a Floyd fan I could tell you that nobody who likes Floyd expects a war. We expect a technically sound, by the book, domination.
Airplanes don't fly under bridges and cars don't rip through clouds.
Floyd's punching power and chin never won him any belt or acclaim. The crazy thing about Floyd is that he uses pure skill to out box heavier punchers
                for long periods of time.

Take the punch away from the majority of the top 20 fighters in the world and your current favorites may make top 50 last year if your lucky.

If Floyd went toe to toe with Oscar he'd get ktfo...everybody knows that.
Pretty much. Although Floyd was a beast at 130 and some people like that Floyd more. I can understand that but he's had some hand problems and can't really even fight without pain-killers for his hands. No one can blame him for not having the same power you were used to when he was a 130 pounder. Still he knocked down Marquez and no one has ever done better so for a small fighter he's doing ok in the power department too.

                    • DLH claimed that his rotator cuff injury took his jab off that night, as stated in autobio, though autobios can be utterly an unreliable source for facts.
