I agre with what many posters have already said. Jones definitely, Patterson probably, Ali maybe. None of them hit as hard. Not even close.

Tyson had that amazing speed, but he was also made up entirely of core strength. Dude was basically just a walking fist.

i honestly don't think any heavyweight before or since tyson had faster punching capabilities than him when he was at his very best.i also think he was faster than lighter boxers aswell.

Ehm...Ali and perhaps David Haye. But if youre talking about speed+power than Tyson was absolutely best.

Patterson is the faster HW I've ever witnessed. If you count Roy Jones brief stay at HW then him and ofcourse Ali.

There were proberbly some other faster HWs that had less overall skills. Haye is pretty fast, and since he was a cruiser it makes sense not sure if he's faster.

Joe Louis proberbly had faster hands with one shot, but when it came to throwing combintions only Ali and Patterson are faster IMO.
