Why does Floyd keep saying he's been around the game longer than Pac?

When infact Pac debuted before him and they both won their first world title the same year (1998). Pac has been around the game LONGER than Floyd.

Doesn't he mean as an elite fighter

Floyd was P4P top 10 after 2 years as a pro at the age of 21

It took Pacquiao till the age of 24 after 8 years in the sport to reach the same level as Floyd
