Well, if Pavlik was ducking him and Kelly happened to watch that fight on the 5th I doubt he will continue to duck him. And the only thing fighters must fear if they fight Paul is a lack of a major pay day. And if you can't already tell I was hardly impressed with the come straight forward winging arm punches Paul Williams. Also, I will admit before their fight I had never seen Williams fight and I knew nothing about Sergio. Now after the fight I am a little confused and left wondering why Paul struggled with Sergio? Was it the fact that Paul was overrated or was Sergio underrated?
Man paul is one of my favorite fighters but weeks before the fight I mentioned that Martinez would give him problems. I have seen Martinez before, and while he was fighting against bums, you could still see the handspeed, boxing skill and ring intelligents that would give anybody form 147-160 problems.
People forget that he only started boxing 5 years before the margarito fight and the first 2 years he was just experiementing with the sport. I mean don't take my word for it, just wait till he gets a shot at someone like Pavlik etc, and goes to work on them.
Kind of hard to take Kelly Pavlik seriously at the moment. He couldn't have just delayed the fight with Paul Williams to this date? He had to fight someone else? And come on, the last time we saw him Bernard Hopkins was taking his ass to school.
^^^^^ way to be about a year behind the news buddy.
Pavlik did ask Williams to push it back. And Williams declined. Understandable, but don't criticize when you don't even know the deal. And Pavlik's last fight was a 9th rd TKO of Marco Rubio. Not the Hopkins loss.
