Does anyone put him in the top ten/twenty/thirty/forty/fifty ATGs? Not that I've seen.

The odd thing about Jones is that he's great but even when you're forty, losses do count against you a little bit if you're getting knocked out in the first, second and third rounds.

Even at that age, it didn't happen to the true greats very often, if at all. It's not as if Green was some giant killer. He wasn't even bigger than Jones and he's not that good.

I must admit, even though it's only a tiny bit, these losses do rack up slightly on Roy's ledger. Sure, he's shot, and you could only make a case for three of them coming in his prime, at most (both Tarver ones - if you agree he won the first - and the Monson one) but they all taint it slightly.
