I think he's definitely a better sparring partner than Khan. I still don't know why they want Khan. His style isn't anything like Mayweather's.

'Ariza felt that the battle with Mayweather “is not going to be so much a fight of conditioning and strength and power. This is going to be Freddie Roach at his best, coming up with strategic plans and Manny having to execute them.” '

I love that last quote by Ariza.

He knows, he was in Corrales' corner back in 2001 when he fought Floyd.

I think they're using Khan for reflexes with people with long reach and speed. If Khan is faster than Pacquiao--it will only help him against Floyd. While I understand Khan does NOT have the style of Floyd mayweather--he at least understands to some degree how Floyd moves and reacts to opponents because he sparred with Mayweather. He can bring some of that into the sparring sessions with Pacquiao.

Pac's sparring partners would beat Floyd like Valero beat his mother. Allegedly.

no way haymon lets this happen. i think mimicing mayweather's style doesn't seem like so hard a task, you just have to stick that left sholder out all day and keep the right tucked under your chin, but you can't mimic his speed. there doesn't seem to be a big fuss about mayweather's sparring partners. doesn't seem like he uses the big names.

                      Possibly

Maybe if he doesn't get busted up by Shane Mosley on January 30. Thats only six weeks til March 13. Win or lose he won't have much desire for sparring in that time frame after that fight. That suggestion is a slap in Sugar Shane's face!
