  • I want to think Pacquiao stands a chance against Floyd, but he is another smaller guy. Not as small as JMM, but still not the size of the kind of fighters that Floyd should fight like Martinez, Mosley, and Williams.

    • Oscar did Pacquiao a favor fighting at 147 weight limit. De La Hoya had not had a fight at that weight limit in years. On the otherhand, Oscar fought Mayweather at 154 lbs weight limit(no catchweight here my friends). It is a simple fact that Oscar had a much easier time fighting at 154 lbs than at a weight draining weight of 147 lbs. The fight night weight proves the fact, as Oscar De La Hoya was unable to re-hydrate & even weighed less than Pacquiao.
Mayweather wins this fight by UD or late TKO.

people may not like this and believe me im not really a mayweather fan, but the vulnerabilities that williams showed to me I have no doubt that if mayweather had balls he beat williams.williams cant get out of the way of rt hands!!! plus he really doesnt use his reach advantage, I was a williams believer but no longer.mayweather would have his hands full with martinez and mosley those guys hit hard ! pacman may beat mayweather by some karmic event, but skill to skill, mayweataher may beat him easily with smart boxing.

hoya would have beat pacman silly in the 90s I put 0 stock in that victory for pacman, look at how forbes whupped oscar, then people are surprised pacman won? of course hindsight is 20/20, I still dont believe the hype.now if pacman is able to dominate mayweather then godamn the hype is due,but people have to realize pacman for the first time in his career or at least last 15 fights, is facing someone that is not shot, old, weightdrained,or coming off of recent losses. to me all of pacs recent victories have a "yeah but" in behind them and they really do.

          • mayweather fought once in 2 years so how can he dominate a fighter who's fought 4x in 2 years..Diaz, Delahoya (2008) Hatton, Cotto (2009)
cmon folks you do the math

because we all know your pretty boy floydie's only chance is to "box" for poits.
manny will make the fyt exciting even if he lose.
but manny will win big....floyd to borrow the face of a dog beaten purple and blue.

thats a possible scenario, but didnt jmm stay as busy as pacman and lose waay worse?to mayweather? pacman beat hatton and hoya better but mayweaather beat jmm better welterweight or not,jmm beat pacman in their last outing, even if the judges didnt give it to him.he handily outconnected and out threw pac plus won more rnds, 3rnd knockdown gave the judges the reason to not give it to jmm, mid and championship rnds it was jmm,pac was bleeding and looked like the loser at the end of that fight those judges were definitley pacman fans.so yeah pac has looked great of late but look against who ? guys that mayweather the runner beat years before pacs somewhat overrated, mayweather also.

pac stayed busy in 2years mayweather didnt regardless who they both fought, the past 2 years will show how suspect mayweather really is, conditioning will win this fight

                  • someone like margarito,or mosley would maybe have a better chance against mayweather, because they are big dudes with vicious body punching, mayweather he doesnt struggle at all with guys his size or smaller hes a master of judging distance,he knows how to use his reach, another thing i see that wont help pacman is he is a headhunter, body punching is what it will take to beat mayweather ,and a mugging non stop pressure. manny has the pressure part but lacks the size,(reach) defense and body punching prowess that it will take ala castillo.manny is a wildcard boxing is unpredictable look at williams vs martinez did anyone expect that ? hell no! when manny comes in hell probably eat jabs and right hands, hell get to mayweather pacman is just too good to not hit mayweather, but it wont be enough. thats my most likley scenario.this fight a win win whomever loses itll be about damn time.

                    • Of course I hope Pacquiao wins, and I still give him a good chance. But I don't know if he is a bigger threat to Floyd than Mosley is because I'd have to see a fight between Pacquiao and Mosley for that determination to be made. Styles make fights though, and whoever won that might not automatically be Floyd's biggest challenge.
