I second that. The fire in the belly might still be lingering, but the fireworks have longs since faded. I'd still like to see him square off against Cotto. Regardless, he'll still be remembered for one of the best fights of all time.Comment

Luis Castillo is one of the all time greats. A true champion.
However, I feel that he is now past his best and any comeback would simply be in order to put food on his family table.Comment

I remember my first time seeing Jose Castillo. It was a televised ESPN FNF card (could have been TNF). He was fighting Stevie Johnston for his undisputed lightweight crown in his (castillo's) backyard of California.
Castillo, I believe, was a late replacement. Anyway, I just remember the fight being very fast paced and evenly fought throughout. Castillo pulled out the UPSET OF THE YEAR and the rest is history.Comment

The last time I watched Castillo fight, he looked like **** in a loss to Lujan. It's hard for me to imagine that he'll be a force again. And shame on Cotto if he goes in that direction instead of a Margarito rematch. Cotto should move up to 154 and take on Martinez for his belt. Oh, I forgot. Cotto has allergies to title belts that aren't vacant and he starts sneezing really hard.Comment

i agree with you on cotto not fighting castillo, but he shouldn't fight the cheater of margarito, he don't deserve a chance with anybody, not only for cheating, for denying that he didn't knew, like boxing fans are ******. Cotto should fight Clottley intead or just retire.Comment
