Businesswise making the fight in phillipines is not good, however I really think that Floyd should go over the phillipines and "challenge" Manny Pacquiao becuase in therms of "who is the man right now?" and "who is the champion?" and who is the pound for pound king?" = thats Manny Pacquiao... Mayweather is just there becuase of his undefeated record and we all know why he still undefeated... He is cherry-picking opponents tactics since a long time ago....Thats why Manny Pacquiao is the man right now, the most respected fighter in the game! Floyd is not, so Floyd why dont you go over to Phillipines and challenge the champ?

know with the logic your implying, then challenger jr welter 140 manny should have challenged miguel cotto welter 147 "champion" and fight cotto at the weight at which the champion was comfortable with. There is a double standard here? I know pac is a bigger draw than cotto but he was still the challenger in that fight.

If arum does not want the fight in the philipines he does not have to point out that mayweather wont agree to it. that is an insult to anyone with any common sence. If he wanted to entertain the idea, speak to floyd first, then you can speak as to his intentions, other then that shut the **** up you greedy old b*tch! Oh and before i forget...you pacman fans are funny as hell..ya keep talking and disclosing ya issues with mayweather. Ex. he is boring, hand picked fighter, dont sell, and on and on...but nobody is talking about manny and his weight draining and his fear of black boxers with defense. Do you know y? Cause ya dont want this fight! Ya praying for some philipino god to stop this fight and save manny from getting his ass whooped! The fight is on. If ya confident about manny shut the **** up and let your boy do the talking in the ring.

                  1. PPV- the fight has to be held in the morning, philippines time, to be shown in the US, early evening.

                  2. Mayweather will never agree to the fight to be held outside the US, heck, even outside of Las Vegas.

                  3. Whoever wins, there will be a riot if it is held in the Philippines.

                  4. There are much better sports facilities in the U.S., far better than the Araneta Coliseum.

                  5. It can never equate to a Las Vegas venue, in terms of financials/cash flow that Las Vegas provides. Not even close.
Please explain to me why Las Vegas, with, say, max of 20,000 seats, is better than Texas with 100,000 seats. Is it that MGM would pay such a huge premium to get the fight [with it's atached gamblers] that it woud more than overcome the seat deficit??

I understand that they could probably fill a few theatres with the video of the fight, but, if it will pay, so will Texas.

                  I really want to know.

You're talking nonsense as well as trying to read what's in Arum's mind, equally nonsensical.

A genuine business in the Philippines has made a business offer. Arum has turned it down.

Because of the public interest in this fight, he is kind enough to publicize the"why's and wherefore's " of his decision.

Do you think you know what's better, than a lawyer who has been making top class boxing business deals for over 50 years???

MGM it is , 146 pounder would never ever fight in Manila. If " today's" had appreciation for history of the magnitude of the Ali/foreman fight then they would do it. Too much money involved for all parties involved..
