I think if Froch beats Kessler he has the right to be called one of the SMW ATG. Not a boxing ATG but just in that division. I know Froch is very unskilled, however he makes that up in determination and heart.

If we really look at Calzaghe’s legacy. He has only beaten two prime fighters at SMW. And only one is at least worth mentioning Kessler not Lacy. If you look at Froch’s resume it’s pretty good and stacked already.

KO win over Taylor. Taylor is a better win than Calzaghe’s win over Lacy. Since Taylor has beaten Lacy at SMW. Even Froch win over Pascal is better than Lacy. Since Pascal moved up and won a title at 175. Also now he has Dirrell name on his resume as well. Dirrell IMO is going to something special, I rate him highly but needs to beat AA to become a recognized name on Froch’s resume

Now let’s Froch beats Kessler. That another solid name on his resume.
Don’t really count Calzaghe’s win over Eubank. Since Eubank was 4-2 coming into the fight and also he entered a two week weight draining regime just to make weight. He was planning to fight for a title at 175

If Froch beats Kessler does he have a case being an ATG at SMW with names like Dirrel,Kessler,Taylor,Pacal. All prime except Taylor(Maybe)
Of course not! He ROBBED Dirrell of a clear win. He LOST that fight and should have been DQed halfway through it for the numerous faults he did. He landed on a steady 4% and got landed on all night. Not HOF material although until he loses his 0 he will be targeted by these kinds of threads.

      Not at all.

Does he belong amongst the ranks of Calzaghe, Toney, Jones, Benn and Eubank? He went life and death with a past-it Jermain Taylor. He also lost to Andre Dirrell, by most accounts.

Beating Kessler would be a respectable win, but less so after the Ward loss.
