This fight really has to be looked at objectively. Lamont Peterson is about as skilled as a boxer that is alive today. His defense is almost air tight because of his freakishly long arms. He can actually put the ear muffs on and his elbows still come to his hips. He is a precision counter puncher and Bradley constantly comes forward with wide shots. This plays in to Peterson's hands. Lets look at the pros and cons of the match up:

    Height/Reach - Peterson
    Boxing Ability - Peterson
    Power - Even
    Hand Speed - Peterson
    Defense - Peterson
    Footwork - Peterson
Experience - Bradley(Although I think Peterson's vast amateur success over world class guys, including Bradley, should be considered)
Chin - Peterson is untested and Bradley(the jury is still out)

I respect Timothy Bradley for the path he has taken and for being a good guy for the sport of boxing. I just don't think his skill set matches up with Peterson. I think his style is tailor made for Lamont Peterson.

The only way I can see Bradley winning this fight is if Lamont fights with the ear muff style and catches everything Bradley throws. I think if he does that the crowd will cheer as though they are effective punches and the judges will sway to Bradley. Peterson has to slip instead of catch in this one. But don't be surprised if Peterson stops him late in this fight.
